Ack! Need urgent help on sink insulation type.

Hi, I'm looking for a double bowl (small bowl left)undermount SS sink. I like Blanco Supreme 1 3/4 bowls but the sink only has sound deadening pads. No undercoating.

Does undercoating matter if the sink has pads?

Other brands I like are Ticor (at Galaxy Tool), SiennaSinks and Soci. I've researched Ticor on this forum and the only negative thing I found was that the steel is from China where they lack environmental controls.

Anyone buy sinks from SiennaSinks, Soci or one of the other "non-name brand" makers? Any problems with these?

If fit makes a difference, most steel in China is recycled from US scrap...

I've heard that the pads work very well. The Blancos seem to be loved long after installation.

You can always buy a can of automobile undercoating at AutoZone and spray over the whole bottom of the sink if you want. Costs maybe $5.

We have the Blanco and love it - no noise what so ever. Those pads work great. I got it for the particular shape vs. name.
