how about a lighter shade of the rose stem color? there seems to be some in the rug as well.

i actually think the color you have now is OK. but i would
1 replace a rug - something in one color
2 add a third curtain in the sane red color that would be purely decorative (like in pic 1)
3 i don't think ur art matches the rest of the room. how about using wallpaper in frames (like in pic 2) again wallpaper would be in similar red

Benjamin Moore "northern cliffs" is a nice gray paint. I know you didn't ask but the rug is too small. The front legs of the sofa and chair should be on the rug. I really like it though, is it new? Does it come larger? A picture of the whole area, including dining room would be helpful. The pictures are floating, you need to lower them. Move the chair to the other side of the sofa, put the end tables with lamps at each end of the sofa. A long console table or some type of cabinet at least 30" high and 25% longer than the width of the pictures under them would anchor them. Get another red pillow and put them behind the flowered ones. A geometric fabric pillow with the reds and grays for the chair would help also. Good Luck, love your color scheme
