Yes- it is Walnut that has been sanded and finished in place.

American Black Walnut is a very beautiful species. The colors you see in the photo come from the natural wood itself. Many people leave their Walnut floors natural with no stain added. Make sure you choose American Black Walnut and not any of the imported species simply being labeled "walnut". Its not the same species and will look different once installed.
