Raising Floor Height / FEMA Issues

I'm looking to do a renovation on a house in an A7 Flood zone in PB Florida. We are getting bids from contractors, but I've already shot down the 'push' to do a knock-down from several because the house is beneath code in regards to elevation requirements.

The house sits at about 6.8 feet (under the FEMA 8' minimum). We're putting on an extension that will be to code.

I'm curious, is there anyway, without doing a total demolition, to bring the rest of the structure up to code. It is a wood frame house (many down here are concrete block) on a slab. I hear that raising a wood frame house that isn't historical using jacks is rarely worth while and too expensive relative to new construction.

As we're installing all new flooring, would adding wood frames, or even pouring concrete to raise the floor height be potential fixes? The ceiling height is already going to be modified to accommodate the new addition, so raising the floor elevation wouldn't reduce interior volume.

Thanks.
