my new planted bamboo is dying.... I think

hey guys, this is Alex from Mexico, Baja, my zone is #9, almost like desert zones, hot in summer and really cold in winter... no snow but really cold.

ok, I purchased a new timber bamboo on a 15g pot, it was all green and few leaves and branches all green too.. I keep it on the 15gl pot for 1 week and then planted it, I used a mix of local dirt and miraclegrow pot mix 3 cubic feet.
it is planted 2ft deep.

well everything was good for a week, it has new leaves really healthy and all but suddenly on the 2nd week, the leaves started to curl and turn yellowish and brown, they are not totally dry but all brown... I wasnt worry for the first 3-4 days since I thought it was a late trasplanting shock, for the first days I watered everyday and after a week since the problem wasnt stopped, I started to watered the plant every two days.. but still same problem.
now I bit of worry cuz the trunk or main culm now started to turn yellowish too, when it was dark green.

what do you recommend me to do in order to try to save this plant?

take it out and put it on a big pot?
add fertilize or any vitamin?

Im totally loss here

I'm guessing this is Giant Timber bamboo, Bambusa oldhamii?

When you say planted 2' deep, what does that mean? Top of the root ball was planted 2' below ground level or hole was 2' deep?

What kind of soil do you have? Sandy? Clay?

When you water do you water near the plant or right next to the stalk? How much water each watering? Before you water, when you stick your finger into the soil next to the stalk is the spoil muddy, damp or dry?

What have your temps been like? Humidity?

That's really fast loss. It's possible the trouble even started when it was still in the pot, not watered enough maybe.

Where did you get this? Often, when a root ball is dug, the plant will go into shock -- especially if the root ball is too small -- but the damage won't show for a week or two. Quality nurseries will not immediately sell newly dug bamboo divisions, but will keep them for 6 months or so to make sure they are viable. All you can do is keep watering and hope the root ball will survive. However, it will be a number of years before the plant will start putting out anything but small culms.

keep it in the ground, water it, but do not over water it. Give it the summer to send out some new growth. If the roots completely dry out, especially while it was in shipment, you may be out of luck.
Im in 9b (florida) and I do not expect to see any growth on my boo till about mid to end of march.
