Mara - you have some beautiful agaves! This new one is no exception. I would lose control if I found that one, too!

Thank you. I got that top one for $15. That is a five gallon pot. They had many more and I sorely tempted to return and break the bank but my girlfriend called and said the traffic was at a stand still where I would need to go. They had a slightly twisted leafed Agave Sharkskin that was in my wagon when I saw the tell tale sign of Agave mite. IT had a stunning form. Broke my heart when I took it out of the cart. I have this one in quarantine and soon to get its dose of pesticide. It goes under the eves till spring. I am not planting them till I get it through guarantee and cold wet weather.

I am actually more excited by the Nolina siberica because they are unusual in the trade and they can take some shade And their long leaves will grow gracefully off of walls.. I am usually able to find Mr. Ripley easily.

Here they are in Habitat. I will never see these in this state. but even when young they are very attractive with very long leaves.

I haven't yet ventured across town and looked in at East Austin Succulents. My rule is to get things in the ground before I buy more. Unfortunately this has not been a rule that I follow effectively at all.. I was down to one Hesperasloe in a pot and then I blew it. Maybe I should say that it is my GOAL, my unreachable goal to have everything in the ground before I venture out to buy more.
