In the time it took me to read you post, the Chase credit card ad popped up three times, without me moving the mouse once. I'm happy at least that I don't have a Chase credit card!

I don't have annoying ads. I use Adblock Plus which you can download free at the link below. Just select the one for the browser that you use.

I too was very annoyed recently. Obviously those who maintain this site wish to do so profitably, and increasingly so if possible--- just as you and I would want to do if it was ours. One way is by selling ads.
I suspect that they have been experimenting to see how much annoyance will be tolerated. The volume of ads is being varied from time to time.
My threshold of frustration is rather low.

+1 on AdBlock Plus. I didn't know there were popups.

I've been here for many years and have never seen even one popup.

AdBlock Plus works- it's simple and easy and there's no reason to continue to be frustrated when an easily applicable remedy is available.
