Living room rugs, chairs, blue/yellow

I am looking for a 8x10 rug - Should I go jute or yellow or blue? Chairs - should I get the matching chair to sofa, or do two different chairs?

never get the match if you can. get to that go with the whole theme of the room. I would pick those before the rug so you know what pallet and how busy you want the rug to be. pull the sofa off the wall and put the glass console table behind it. move the huthc to the space the glass in in now and then flank the sofa with two chairs. you will also need some drapes and a coffee table. and some pops of color for the walls... blues/yellow there maybe and keep the rug jute.
