Survival of up rooted Palm.

I'm in coastal NC Z8b. Builders dropped off a up rooted Palm over a month ago in a field. Told me someone bought it. Weeks later asked again and said it's free, I have to remove it myself. 10ft Sable, four ft wide root ball. Palm looked great, but several cold nights in the 30-27 temp range for hrs fried most of the frowns. After I was told it was mine and safe to mess around on the land I wrapped the roots. Most being exposed were dried out. It's not sitting in any puddles during rains to rot. Still has some green frowns. Having a hard time getting someone to move it,people have no interest and want to sell me one instead. Is it worth spending money to move it? Or is it dead sitting that long above ground and during cold spells? Can't get picture posting to work! Thanks for any help!
