Aquas etc. look great w/ white & ivory - also beige, grey, tan, pale yellows, & pinks. I have bedding in all those colors & mix & match often. I prefer solids to patterns.

We recently re-did our bedroom with pale blue walls, cream colored bedding, and punches of aqua and yellow. I was advised here to stick with a neutral duvet and add color with the pillows and accessories so it wasn't overpowering.

Go to Gumps or to Neiman Marcus for some beautiful things....

My sister bought Pottery Barn's "Painterly Bird" for my niece's apartment. The head board is covered in a spa blue and looks great. Unfortunately, PB no longer has "Painterly Bird," but there is lots of it for sale on ebay - new with tags.
