Where to place a larger couch in living room?

Hi and thanks in advance. Pretend like these rooms are empty of furniture. I would like to put a larger, possibly L shaped couch in a position to be able to watch the TV. TV must go against one of the two red walls due to cable restrictions and glare The fireplace is smack dab in the center of the living/dining area, so I can't really put a couch in front or across from it. Where do you see putting a couch in this arrangement? Thanks again... Karen
