If you are rich .why not , this is an expensive way to do a shower stall as for residue that is a problem no matter what material you use the best answer I have found is to make everyone that uses the shower use a squeegee after they shower. Do not use harsh cleaners on granite or marble ever. I like 12 x 24 porcelaine tiles for showers you can use a cleaner to clen them and they have a nice clean look especially if the grout is the same color.

The only cleaner you should use on granite is soap and water; everything else micro etches it. The weight of granite can be enormous. If it is going to be open and visible then the tile looks is so pretty. Large 12 x 18 inch tiles laid horizontally in a matte finish is gorgeous. White field tile is always classic. Squeege just takes less than a minute.
