Your faucets are beautiful, does the finish wear?

I had the same set up as shown here by Rohl and the finish wore off. almost chipped off. They were less than a year old. the replacement started doing the same. How does your finish wear? I do not want to go through the same thing again.

The warranty on the faucet itself is lifetime.
