No deglosser....not something floors get. I could search the internet for this Dura-Wood product, but the finish should be listed on the boxes. If this is a "standard" polyurethane/urethane finish, you can do a "buff and coat" to add a lower gloss "satin" finish to the floor. I don't recommend this because LL has been known to have issues throughout their product lines. A full sand and refinish would be a better option to reduce the gloss. A professional installer would then add a depth of stain that is consistant throughout (both are hickory so we should get a decent result..."should" be the operative word with LL).

If this is an Aluminum Oxide finish...simply enjoy your floor and deal with the "towel dry" option. Smudges occur on dark flooring. Streaks occur on dark flooring. Streaks/smudges occur on "shiny" flooring. An AO finish is one of the toughest finishes to do anything with...even professionals shake their heads and walk away...telling you it would be cheaper to remove, reinistall and refinish with a site finish.

A traditional site-finished floor can receive a 'buff and coat' (light sanding with a new coat of finish on the floor without going down to raw wood) to change the gloss. Factory finished products are much more difficult to deal with because factory finishes are "different" than what is used on a site.

Check the box to find out what type of finish you have (UV cured poly; UV cured urethane; 7-9 coats of UV cured Aluminum Oxide urethane finish, etc). Make your decision from there.
