Hi, the ceiling heights on the main level of our new house vary from 9, 10, 12, and 16 feet with the interior doors in the areas that have 12 or 16 feet hallway/living room ceiling heights with two rooms opening into rooms with 9 foot interior room ceiling heights while the others open into rooms that have 12 feet ceiling heights. The house is modern and I was thinking 8 foot high interior doors would look best??? My exterior doors are 8x3 feet and they line up with the height of all windows in the house. But what about door width? 8 feet by 36", 32" or 30" width??? In the basement the ceiling heights are 9 feet consistent throughout with an entry door of again 8x3 - I'm thinking I would do 7 feet high interior doors in the basement but again what width??? HELP!
