Is this sheet paneling of some sort- real wood or another material?

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your interest in our modern farmhouse remodel!

This is a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling that was existing prior to the renovation. It is painted in Benjamin Moore's OC-17 "White Dove" in a flat latex.

To achieve this look, you could install large format wood beadboard paneling, available from most home improvement stores.
