Cottonseed meal for N and pH on lawns?

I'm interested since it has fairly highly N for an organic fert/feed, but also because it supposedly has pH lowering properties. Does anyone know how to estimate its impact on lawn pH?

I do understand that it is a bit more difficult to apply than SBM, but I'd be willing to work with it once just to get a slight pH adjustment!

Keep in mind that most all of the commercially grown Cotton today is Genetically Engineered and the Cottonseed Meal is not acceptable to many organic growers. Nor is most commercially grown Soybean Meal for the same reason. If you can find organically grown of either that would be okay.
