Cable/Telephone/Internet bundle of around $150

I have had a Comcast bundle called HD (high
definition) Preferred for a year. It cost me $157.62 per month. Now they
have raised it to $183.84 per month. This is way more than I want to
pay, especially because my main cable channels are only CNN and MSNBC.

Does anyone have a Cable/Telephone/Internet bundle that includes CNN and MSNBC but is $157.62 or less?

I'm especially interested in non-Comcast cable companies. I'm hoping
that there's another company that has a more competitive bundle and does
not raise the price after the "promotional" period is over.

It never hurts to ask.

You are limited to those companies which service your location. Have you checked out satellite providers?

One option could be to call Comcast and just tell them that their price increase is enough that you now want to get rid of them. That should be enough to get them to counter with some sort of promotion -- maybe your old rate continued, or another discount for another time commitment, or ... something. They may offer you more services at the higher price, but if that's not what you want, stick to your objective. You should get what you want.
