Kelly Carlin of Landmark Trust told me that when the house was built, the shingles were dipped in paint, dried and nailed to the house. During the restoration, most shingles were removed and saved. The backs of those shingles hadn't faded and were the original color. Sherwin-Williams reproduced Kipling Green for the renovation and continues to make it for Landmark Trust when the exterior needs repainting every few years. As for the interior paint, Landmark Trust chose historic colors that were popular during the time. Thanks for your interest!
