Terrible lighting and the pink chair and tea set probably won't be staying in the room, but this is the gist. The lighter turquoise table might be painted white or swapped out, but the rug and sofa stay. (Pillows are negotiable.)

Thoughts on curtains?

I agree no pattern......go with a solid ivory textured fabric straight uncomplicated panels...for a clean Mid century feel...it won't take over the room and alow your eclectic style to shine!

Based on where you live i would love some either silk or velvet solid panels --- maybe add some gold trimming to the drapes.

Then you can bring in more teal with accents, decor, pillows etc!!

If you are going to be painting walls a white rather than ivory I would match to the white that you are going to paint walls....best to buy your white curtains and match paint to them....so many different shades of white! Good luck with your project!
