I would paint all the entry door parts black! (And since you're in the painting mood, paint the trim piece of your ceiling can the same color as the ceiling for a cleaner look.)

I think all the house trim should be the same color, probably black. Can you post o pic of the entire facade?

The trim around the door typically matches that of the door. You could easily leave the trim around the house white. Since your exterior is a lighter colour, I think it would be too much of an offset-You could paint the door, door trim & shutters black, similar to this project we did:
