My view is that the lighter yellows and creams are too high contrast. The cottage / lodge / back in the woods feel of the dark siding tone should be played out in the trim color. My suggestion would be a mid tone trim (exterior mid tones are deeper - 15 - 30 LRV) in a real color, so that you increase the cottage quotient of your darling architecture, get contrast to the siding, but it all harmonizes. You have the opportunity to paint window sashes a contrasting shade also . . that is always very charming in a cottage ..

With your brown shingled cottage . . browns often fade down to show some purple undertones. Here are three combos to test - plums, aloe greens, eggplant and olives .. ..

You would get a very charming cottage look with this sort of natural / nearly succulent toned green . grayed down for an exterior .bm carolina gull and use the tad lighter shade on the sashes bm heather gray - Then, Do the same at the entry door OR pump up the contrast by using a plum on the sashes as contrast to the trim around them .. and to harmonize with the undertone in your brown - look at bm tawny port

Remember that exterior light makes color at least one shade lighter that your eye would read it inside. Test, test, test to see what your favorites in your light with your siding tone are . .
