With mosaic tile for the floors, you can use polished or honed, because grout space will create enough traction so it will not be slippery. As for the looks, you will need to seal marble once it's installed. Once you seal it, it will get a little shine.

Once you buy the material, it might be a good idea to get samples first to see the quality and the color. Also, make sure that stone on the sheet are consistent in color, so you don't end up with checkerboard.
