Can my tree be saved?

I have a Japanese Maple that was damaged yesterday, Feb 22, by a load of lumber being delivered for my deck. The truck driver loss control to the lift and the load hit the tree and it broke several branches off and took the bark off one side and the tree is now leaning. I can send pictures if needed. I need help as to what I can do to save the tree. The JP is about six years old and ten feet tall. I have attached a picture of the damage and a picture of the tree last fall.

Post this in the Maples Forum. It is more active.

    It doesn't look good.

Oh, I'm sorry that happened. What a shame.

I'd be billing the driver/company for a replacement tree.
