I like either A or B -- depends on whether you want every inch to have lines, or like just some intermittent streaky-ness. They will give the kitchen two quite different feels.

(you might try taping off a counter-sized slice of each, so you can see what amount of pattern would be in a 25" piece.)

@acm What kind of feel do you think each would give? I am interested in a transitional, classic, elegant kitchen. Taping off the slabs is a good idea. I would go do that right now if I could.

It looks very light gray next to white cabinets. Here is another picture I hope you can see it better in this picture.

I prefer A if used for standard 2 ft counter depth but C would be stunning on a large island, with gray or white quartz counters on the perimeter cabinets.
