Home Depot and Lowes clearance. We have bought a couple (our family) and they are usually 1/2 off or so. Whether they will or not, I dont know but we have negotiated down on their clearance prices before.

I'm in Hendersonville, haven't found any brick and mortar locally, other than Lowe's and Home Depot. We've actually bought our fridge and washer/dryer in Atlanta, but I was looking for something very specific. Though I thought Queen City in Charlotte had a pretty good sized clearance section.

Sears usually has a number of scratch-and-dent appliances at discount. Best Buy does at times. Also look at Costco - not the scratch-and-dent, but you can buy new appliances on their website or in store at very good prices and Costco will deliver and install if you want. My friend bought a huge Whirlpool washer and dryer this way from Costco, and was very pleased.
