Lighting Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Vanity Sconce Size for 24" Vanity?

I'm looking to replace the sconce above my bathroom vanity. Ideally, I'd love to put a sconce on either side of the mirror, but the vanity abuts a wall and I'm working on a budget. My current sconce has two bulbs and is 13" wide. In addition to not liking the look, I think the size is too small. I found a sconce I love, but it is 22" wide. I'm afraid this might be too wide above a 24" vanity. Thoughts?

Your best size is probably 16 to 18 inches. There are about a billion of those online. Restoration Hardware has some excellent choices, well priced, and in multiple finishes. So too does Pottery Barn.RH and PB below at 16/17 inches respectively
