Sofa Bed/Futon/Sleeper Sofa to Get Up a Narrow Staircase

Hi there, we're trying to find a sofa bed for our attic, but unfortunately we can't find anything that will fit up the narrow staircase - does anyone have any recommendations for any that come in pieces and that we can assemble ourselves, so that we can get one up the stairs? Looking for an option that comes in under $1000 or $1250.
