Why don’t you want proper walls ?/How many bedrooms are there?

2 bedrooms with doors. We would like an open floor plan, it would be just building a wall to have a hallway?

Before it had a half wall/counter with a planter and cabinet doors. Then slanted wood planks from the top of the cabinet/counter to the ceiling

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. You want an open concept, but want separation? What goal are you looking to accomplish with the hallway? Is it needed for privacy? Do you have a picture of the old half wall as well as what the space currently looks like with it removed?

You should be able to find a large closed media console or sideboard that has storage and is finished on both sides. The cabinet doors will not be accessible from both sides though. If that's what you're looking for you may need a custom woodworker. On top of the console/sideboard you could have some kind of decorative screen? Or you can just use a decorative screen by itself with semi-transparent panels. Would feel more open than a wall while providing a "hallway".
