Tile installation costs

I have a question regarding tile installation costs. Someone who will probably instal the tile in by basement wants $10/sqf for installation (this does not include the tile cost). At this price range is it assumed that they will take care of any imperfections in the concrete base? The house is new, but I know that the floor is not straight. Thank you!

I would not assume that, I would ask before hiring that person.

I don't know where you are located, cost will vary greatly by location. I agree with Judy that you should ask. If we were pricing the job, the leveling or grinding of the floor would be a separate charge and would not be based on square footage but other factors depending on what was needed.
