How fixable is this bad tile?

First time homeowner and noticed things don't look quite right in the bathroom. Maybe a DIY or bad contractor did the remodel. How easily can this be fixed? Can I hire someone to just redo the tiles?

also the tub looks gross as all get out. How fixable are these? How long would it take?

I wouldn’t do it without replacing the plumbing behind the walls, and a new tub too. You can bet that the flippers didn’t replace any of that.

Not fixable without ripping all that out and starting over. 5-7K to do it properly.

Hi Sophie, thanks for the answer. Seeing as this is the shower area if I just want to remodel the tiles by ripping it out and starting over would I still need a plumber?

Did they tile over the old tile? Looks like maybe they did. Pretty cheesy. Everything should be ripped out and redone.

Looks like DIY or a bad flip. Did you get inspections within your due diligence period? What did the inspector say?

Tiling over old tile would explain the weird thickness. I had an inspection done earlier today and he didn't have any concerns with leakage or anything like that. It is a condominium so I don't know how much of the plumbing would be my responsibility, but I definitely will look into it. If I'm ripping everything out I may as well get a new tub!
