I would add since all new, what are you planing for your floors to be? All others still need to be answered...........

I would go with a lighter countertop. There are so many choices with quartz. You can go with a subtle pattern and match it with a bolder backsplash. Or pick a bolder pattern like the one Ellen posted above and then do a quiet backsplash.
