Yes they multiply! This year seemed to be a particularly good year for iris. What zone are you in? That will have some influence on whether you can still move them. But for the most part, it should be fine to move them now. They may not bloom next year if you disrupt them now. Or they might. I'd recommend you watch a few videos on youtube on how to divide/move them. I think a picture is worth a hundred words.

Don‘t stress too much about your iris, they are very easy here and should get better and better every year!
