Bathroom Design Help!

Measurements for kids bathroom is 5' wide by 11' length. I was going to put in a 60" vanity with one sink. The plumbing was centered in the wall for one sink and electric above the mirror was also centered. The walls were just tiled. I am now having second thoughts about the 60" vanity as I am concerned its going to be very tight and look very narrow once everything is in. I would get a 48" vanity but I don't think that can work as if the plumbing is centered for a 60" then a 48" would have to be 6" off the wall on one side. That's not enough space to put anything there and I think just enough for things to fall through and get annoying. Unless I do an off centered sink but don't think that could work to well either. And then there is the lighting above the mirror issue. Unless I just don't put any lighting and rely on the LED spots in the ceiling. There are 2 rows of spots each about a foot off the wall. See picture below. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Our hall bathroom is 5’ by 11.5’. We have a 60” vanity, and it is fine.

That's the size of my bathroom with a 60" vanity. How much space do you have for the toilet if you use a 60" vanity?

About 33 inches Or so. Please note that our vanity is not freestanding. It is flush against the wall with the door.

30" is required by code (15" from center of toilet to the tub or vanity). 36" is recommended, but 33" is fine for kids.

I agree with smit 2380 and mayflowers that the 60 inch will be fine in there, and that 33" is also fine for wc. For vanity lighting, a pair of sconces on either side of the user are recommended; I usually specify tubular LED's mounted vertically, with a color temperature of 3000K (but you may prefer the softer 2700K color). Put them on a separate switch from the cans, and put both circuits on DIMMERS for sure. You don't want to be blasted with 200 footcandles first thing in the morning when you shuffle into the bath! It's great that you'll have two layers of lighting in there, whether you do wall sconces or keep the fixture over the mirror. Speaking of which, a framed mirror that is the full length of the vanity will expand the space (and you mount the sconces on the mirror) . Good luck!
