I want to update my livingroom so there's less brown and it's more light looking. I want to paint the paneling as well as the fireplace. The style I like the best is country or farmhouse (we live on a farm so my house is a farmhouse!). The current couches in the picture are being replaced with a cherry brown leather sectional (similar in color to the loveseat color). I want to use blues and grays. So thinking maybe painting the paneling (lower half of the wall) a gray with a bluish hue. Should I paid the fireplace white or the same gray as the paneling? Maybe another gray? I'm also going to paint the built-in as well - should the built-ins be one solid color or the same color scheme as the walls (white top and gray bottom)? I am terrible at decorating, as can be seen from what my livingroom looks like currently, haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
