Furniture Design Dilemma

My chair looks too small for room.

My bedroom is a whopping 25 by 25 feet. Around my queen size bed I have a small bedroom size chair that suddenly looks too small. What can I do to make the chair appear larger? That's a yard stick next to the chair.

Adding a lamp, table, ottoman would make the chair look purposeful and add to the overall visual weight of the area. Adding a piece of art there would also help.

The upholstery looks dated and faded. Think about buying yourself a new chair which is larger than this one and then proceed as MarleneM suggested.
