I am aseeing issues that need to be dealt with before deciding floor tile but I do not like ceramic tile on floors as a rule and right now that floor is in no way ready for tile and the tub needs to be removed and replaced with one that has a tile flange . Could you post some pics of the whole bathroom . IMO tile in bathrooms are best larger to have fewer grout lines . The reason I do not like ceramic tile is that it chips easily a porcelain tile is a better choice.

Thanks for replying Patricia! We are nowhere near install yet but I’m trying to decide materials for cost. This is a guest bath so will be rarely used for full shower etc. it’s also incredibly small, 5.5 feet by 5.5 feet (with a slanted roof it’s like an attic bathroom)
