Front door stain/paint

We need advice on stain or paint color for our front door. I am leaning on keeping the cedar beams stained natural. Would love to stain the front door special walnut or maybe a tad darker. We are still waiting on door hardware which will be matte black. Thoughts on the two stain contrasts or any other ideas that would trump mine? Thanks in advance!
