Design Dilemma Exterior Remodeling

Contemporary exterior: porch columns

Contemporary remodel advise. I’m doing an exterior remodel including removing current wood siding and replacing with white smooth stucco and cedar details. Roof is black metal standing seam. I have two very slim porch pillars supporting the front deck. They are in wood. would love ideas of how to transform them to look more contemporary.

1) stucco them? color?

2) cover in black aluminum?

3) other ideas?

4) deck railing?

IMO the railing needs to be changed so whatever you do there is what I would do for the posts .IMO you need black windows, black and glass railing and black posts and no staucco but nice new siding mixed with some natural cedar. Where is your exterior designer ? You need one

Having trouble finding the right one... Thanks! I’m doing black windows, black aluminum garage doors and cedar side fences and around the front “courtyard“. Will change the railing to probably steel posts with horizontal wood sides. Or cable railing.
