Funky, Mtnrd, jewelry question for you

Prior to Christmas, there was a thread here that included some posts with links/ideas for gifts of jewelry. I remember both of you commenting on the thread, but now I can’t find it. Funky, you had shared a link for I think either necklaces or rings that IIRC, you had purchased for your niece and maybe your sister? I remember looking at the website and noticed they had a brick and mortar store in San Diego. I even went to the website for the shopping center where the brick and mortar store was listed, but for some reason, now I can’t seem to find it there (it was at Liberty Station).

My youngest turns 16 in a month and I would like to get her a ring. If either of you remember either the websites you shared or the name of that thread, I would appreciate it. I have searched and searched, looking in all the gift threads from pages ago, but cannot seem to find the thread where you were sharing this info.

For anyone else reading this thread, I am open to other suggestions for jewelry. I have looked at a couple local jewelers but haven’t seen anything that I think she would like.

4 kids - I thought I had saved that thread but when I checked my Houzz profile none of the recent things that I bookmarked are there. I'm really disappointed because I had saved a lot of posts from appliances and home decorating. Now I'll have to figure some other way of saving.

Sometimes I copy and save the name of a specific site that I've found here in my email folders. I don't know if this will help you but on Oct 23, 2020 I saved several links to jewelry stores and designers and some were Funky's. It's possible that I found them on the thread you're looking for. I only saved a few that I liked. My guess is that the post started several days before I copied these. I went down to the bottom where older posts are listed and check back to the week of Oct 20 -27 but didn't find anything there. It could have been updated after the 27th but I didn't check further.

Hi 4Kids.. I am pretty sure you are thinking of Thatch jewelry. It's not fine jewelry but i really liked this design-- and more importantly, my niece loved it! She chose the necklace below and another without the lock to double up and wear together.

I know I also posted a few David Yurman pieces but I don't think that's what you are thinking about based on your description. The other possibility is Monica Vinader?

Yes, Funky, it was Thatch that I was thinking of. I did just look at what rings they have but realize now after seeing their limited selection of rings, that it is not what she wants. So I will keep searching. She wants stackable rings that are somewhat simple/plain. Just did a quick look at Monica Vinader and see a few possibilities. Thanks for the suggestion as well as for responding to my query. It was driving me crazy that I could not find the OP from weeks ago.

jmck_nc, I actually had looked at the Sundance catalog and there is something that is almost exactly what she likes, but unfortunately they don’t have her size. 😞 I saw some cool rings on their site that I wouldn’t mind having myself LOL!

anitamo, unfortunately that is not the thread. This thread I’m thinking of was definitely before Christmas. I specifically remember back and forth dialogue with Mtnrd and Funky. As Funky mentioned above, she was sharing links to what she bought her niece, then Mtn posted links to some rings. I tried searching using some of the terms but came up with nothing.

Maire thanks for taking the time to share all of those links. I will go through them and see if I can find something she might like. I appreciate the time you took to go through your bookmarks to share them with me. I thought I had saved the links Funky and Mtn posted, but apparently I didn’t. Note to self, need to do this in the future!

I am so sorry, I do not recall the post! Looks like you are in good stead. FWIW, I bought one DH an enamel Hermes bangle for her birthday. The other is getting a Yurman ring. My DD picked up a fake one at a vintage store and they both really liked it. Seems funny to me since I bought DY like 15 years ago and thought it was "out!"

I have never seen a ring like that second one. I looked it up to see how it actually looks worn!

My oldest has a few David Yurman rings.

The second one is the style of the fake vintage one my older DD bought in Portsmouth a month or so ago. Both girls really like it. This one is a little more OTT but it got the older one's seal of approval so we shall see!

4 kids - I think Houzz is acting up again. I know I saved several posts from Appliances and Kitchens about installing a hood over an island and when I looked - couldn't find them.
