Gray is not a good complement to your trim and floor. If not the color suggested above something with a hint of blue to tie in the rug

Have you thought of wall paper? Look at some of the beautiful golden grass cloth wallpapers that are available. I believe they would go very well with the paint color below the chair rail and your woodwork.

Gold is not a good paint color for your room either. It also does not go with your trim and floors. The green does look ok with it, but, I would like to see a much lighter green, than that in there. Even a light blue, might look very nice.

oh. your trim would work with a lot of colors I suppose. Cream. Sage. Vibrant green(even though I hear you want to move away from green, but as a possibility) . Subtle light blue-or maybe turquoise. Coral. Mustard might work. Wallpaper can be truly fabulous. Depends what feel are you after. What are furnishings in the adjacent rooms, colors there, etc.

I agree with what has been suggested. There are so many pretty lighter greens out now that would look fantastic with that beautiful wood trim! Here are a couple of ideas:
