Get the Blanco, but make sure it's strapped, not clipped, in place please. If it's a bust, you'll have it changed in less than two hours.

My prep sink is a Blanco Silgranit II. It’s not quite 2 years old and while it doesn’t get as heavy use as my main sink, it does get used every day. So far no chips, cracks, scratches, stains or other issues. Easy to maintain. Good luck!

The Blanco in my last house was at least 8 years old I believe. The one in this house is 4 years old. No problems.

Thanks all for the input, especially the tip about strapping it vs clips! So just one more question to either confirm or deny the old wives tale - can you pour boiling water into it? When I’m draining my pasta will it warp/ruin the sink?

I've had my Silgranit sink for over 6 years. It's the only sink I have in my kitchen. Not the 2 year timeframe you want, but I'll join in anyway :-) You can absolutely pour boiling water into the sink. I've been doing it since I got it. No problem whatsoever. I'm definitely Team Silgranit. I'm in the very early process of building a house, and I plan to put a Silgranit sink in my new kitchen.

I have had a silgranite for 10 years,-white was hard to keep clean, and I can tel it has become more porous as there are little pock marks near the drain. new kitchen will be stainless

We’ve only had our Silgranit sinks for 5 mos so definitely can’t comment on the longevity... But so far I’m really happy with them (we have 2 - our main sink and a prep sink in the island). Specifically I like that it doesn’t seem to stain easily or look dirty (our color is Truffle so not super light or dark), a quick wipe and it’s clean. I definitely haven’t babied it as far as putting boiling water or fairly hot pans in it) & it seems to do fine...

I haven't had mine all that long (moved in Dec 2017, a new build), but I love it. Boiling water, or hot pans, is not a problem! Looks great!

@ D Walker, can you share what kind of faucet and sink drain you have? Toffee is a color contender and I’d like to pair it with brass.
