IMO this size room demands a larger TV screen than what you currently own. The prices have really come down on the screens so I recommend you purchase a larger one and mount it at the appropriate height. This is not a sports bar. There is no reason to mount the TV high on the wall. Additionally, your shelves are mounted too high also.

I would use the space to the left of the TV for a large piece of some type of art.

For large art at a small price consider a paper wall mural instead.

I saved this because I liked the color - a nice choice for tv / storage. Can use the color in the room.
