Not trying to be flippant, but shouldn’t you talk to your fabricator who did the installation?

That fabrication and installation is awful and not acceptable. Show your fabricator and installer our comments. They should be ashamed of the lousy job they did!

Just remove it and do tile. No new slab is going to match up to the counter portion.

verbo - I am going to have to remove it. What’s terrible is the quartzite stone cost was 2k just for the slab, im sure thats not a lot for some people, its lot for us. I’m going to have to pay to remove the stone, repair dry wall and pay for tile and install. They won't fix the error and it’s an expense we will need to absorb.

Take them to small claims. That’s not even remotely acceptable.

I‘m going to probably have to take them to court.

we are going to have to pay a lot more to fix it than what we owe them. the stone was paid in full, and we owe a very small balance to them.

Im so sorry to hear what you are and will be going through to get this fixed. You should also hit them with social media: facebook, insta, their website and even BBB.

i finally was able to get them to aggree to pull out quartzie backsplash, repair any damages when they pull it out even if they damage the bottom counters and pay me back for my stone that they messed up. i hope it goes smoothly in 1/22, i will update afterwards.🤞
