backsplash dilemma’s

Doing the backsplash ourselves (well actually
My handy husband). Already plan to remove ugly phone cord port, so disregard that.

White subway tile with white grout.

Need a few professional opinions….
How the end this? (I have a U-shaped kitchen with a peninsula - 1970s ranch)
I am aware of the norm of ending backsplash - where the upper cabinets end ….. will that look ok? Any alternative options that will look ok? (One photo example included)

Do you use silicone between the tile and upper cabinets like you do between cabinet and counter?
Do you use bullnose near the window where the top of the tile will be visible? (Continuing on at the same height as both sides of the window.

Alternatively, you could tile to the edge of the counter (on both sides) and straight up the wall to the ceiling, using a Schluter strip along the vertical edge. All wall space visible between the counter and the ceiling (around and above the window), within the parameters of these two outer counter walls, would also need to be tiled. This will define the kitchen space and deal with the wonky alignment.

Given that the counter in photo 1 next to the stove is already a bit design wonky, a wonky diagonal end to the backsplash would work. Esp if the tile will enclose the entire electical outlet.

Yes, if we go with that plan, we would enclose it entirely. Thanks for your input.
I assume we would want to do both (wonky) ends the same?

It seems the norm is to end the backsplash where the cabinets end. This is due to the fact that a backsplash is typically just for splashes that might occur.
