Very sweet of you to listen to your daughter’s preference. They are little. They don't need nightstands at this time.

When things settle down, yes, get two twin beds. I am not a fan of bunk beds.

Would L shape work?

Remove the headboards and daybed frame.

I love the storage under the beds.

Very tight quarters, yet they made it work.

I did try the L shape at one point but it left a huge hole there. I guess if I found the right piece of furniture to put there it could work. Hmmm. I can definitely give you the floor plans with dimensions a little later when I get back home :)

The beds headboards and railings can't be removed.

I would then leave as for now. Then down the road, get twin beds and do the L with an end in the corner.

Hi. I would install the floating shelf as the shared nightstand. Make up the trundle bed with the pillow at the opposite end.

I had trundle beds for my daughters growing up. They did each have their own room but it seemed like a good idea to have the extra bed available. In any case, I did have a night stand next to their beds and when we needed to pull out the bottom bed for sleepovers etc, I just moved the nightstand. It wasn't ideal, but for the majority of the time the nightstand can stay between the 2 beds in your case.
