There are electric roll up shades on the inside of the porch. You may be able to see them a bit better in this photo.

Hi Tracy - Thank you for the additional photo. Are these shades for sun protection only? Do you have the brand/manufacturer info? We are looking for a product that we could use to help winterize our screen porch (without having to insert glass panels).

Yes, they help with sun and heat protection. They were made custom from a local shop in north Georgia. As far as winterizing goes, they may not be much help. The best option for winterizing without inserting glass would be a product similar to the plastic that is often seen at restaurants on outdoor patios. If you know of any boat shops that do custom work they are able to provide products such as that.
