Should I put a wall up or just get a console table?

So I want to put a TV on the side of the staircase (encircled in the picture). Should I put a wall there to mount my TV and some shelving or should I just get a TV stand or some console table? Which would look better?

You might also consider the TV stand/room divider between the Living Room and Dining Room as shown in one of the photos. You don't want too large of a TV if you are sitting somewhat close to it.

I need to see the rest of the space to understand why here for the TV. From what I see you need to close in that side of the stairs to even begin to do this the railing behind the TV will not look good .

How about a room divider TV stand. You wouln't see the back of the TV. You don't say what size your TV is.

A 65 inch tv is probably the largest size I'm considering. But I'm fine with getting something smaller like a 55 inch.

A TV should be at a height where your eyes are aligned with a point 2/3 of the way down the TV screen when seated.
