Roses for a big anniversary
Since I grow s many flowers, including roses, I have told my husband not to buy roses for occasions. This was our 50th anniversary and since pansies are the only thing blooming, I told him that I would like roses this time, but not red ones; I love pink roses in all shades so that is what I would like to get.
A local florist in our small town brought these to me and the photo hardly does them justice. we thought that they would last only a couple of days since they wee so open already.
Eight days later, they were still beautiful but beginning to have a bit of brown inside some blooms. Note the front bloom has a double center as do a couple further. The stems were very thick and very long and when open the blooms were four to five inches wide. Just lovely
