Hear ye, hear ye…….”The Clydesdales Are Coming!”

Just got word from the very excited little boy who lives next door. We already knew but didn’t let him know we knew.

Someone in our neighborhood won some contest and the prize is going to be delivered this afternoon. Not by UPS but by a full team of Clydesdales pulling the beer wagon. To get to the winner’s house from the staging area the shortest route is down our street.

There sure are some excited kids waiting.

We missed them ☹️. Here’s a few shots from the City website.

Its OK that we missed them this time. Before Busch sold Busch Gardens (considered a neighborhood playground), there were always a few horses stabled there. We appreciated being able to see them often.

That is going to be awesome!

We have wagon trains go through our town a couple of times a year, it’s a lot of fun to watch.

Like Jilly, I would be as thrilled as the children! They are magnificent horses and it would be so exciting to be that close to them. Yay for your neighbor.

I would love to see a team of Clydesdales pulling a beer wagon. It's the way they prance with their groomed hooves and legs. (there are probably horse terms for that) is just magnificent.

They are such gorgeous animals! I would be front and center to see and holding DH back - he loves horses but especially the big workers.

Well the route was just published. The shortest, most direct route isn’t being used so they won’t be passing our house. We’ll jump in the golf cart to go a block over. Which means I have to put on shoes.

(The team is really in town for tomorrow’s Gasparilla parade.)

They came to our county fair this past August. It was great fun watching them get hitched and seeing them romp around the corral before the fair began. They are awesome!!
